Homeward bound (24/Aug/2019): Eurostar to London

Everything has an end, but the sausage has two (German joke).

Although it would have been nice if to reach Arras and the weather in northern France was glorious, decided to head home. I’m glad that I dusted off the cobwebs on my walking gear and reminded my legs of what it feels like to walk every day. That will stand me in good stead for my forthcoming walk on the Camino Sanabres.

The route between Bruay-la-Buissière and London iss quite straightforward – a bus to Bethune, a train to Lille and a short walk to the Eurostar station. I’ll return to pick up the Via Francigena another day – I hope not too far in the future.
